Make ximagesrc use the correct display and screen as the one we want.  This I believe is the problem with using istanbul inside Xvfb.

Frederic, I just tested it with Xvfb and it works great.  Please can you try.

It works now but this may be unrelated to this fix, my error was using an Xvfb
session with 8bit colors; switched to 24bit and it went ok.
