GTK+ engines, when submitted, are only submitted with an icon as the screenshots. Could some magic be worked to screenshot an engine, at the very least with a blank gtkrc?
Comment 1 Lucas Lommer 2007-01-09 17:55:19 UTC
Well, we have no idea what do do with this. The engine screenshot in anyform can't tell you much about quality or features the engine brings to you. Can you add some your ideas?
Comment 2 link.dupont 2007-01-09 18:20:18 UTC
With GTK+ engines these days they all have 1 look, like all the Clearlook things. A screenshot would tell people what the engine looks like. Now with more advanced engines like Smooth, this doesn't make as much sense, since Smooth has a number of different "looks", but for the majority of engines, it should give you an idea.

reopening as per last comment
Comment 4 Thomas Wood 2009-01-08 22:28:09 UTC
The gtk-engines category is no longer available on art.gnome.org, so not sure that this bug is still valid.
Comment 5 Link Dupont 2009-01-08 22:55:41 UTC
So I see. If that's the case, then this should be closed out.
