GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 347901
Applet blanks graphs when clicked
Last modified: 2010-01-24 01:07:18 UTC
After a long time of not being used if you click the applet the graphs reset.
what do you mean by 'not being used' ?
I mean if I haven't double clicked or right-clicked on the graphs for a while. When I do interact with the applet it blanks all the graphs. If I interact with the applet again shortly afterwards the graphs aren't blanked though. I don't have a solid idea about how long is enough to cause the graphs to be blanked because I rarely interact with the applet.
I've seen this. Specifically, it seems that the first time you right click, the graphs are blanked.
I used to see this (Gnome 2.14/2.16 era) but haven't noticed it since I've been running Gnome 2.20. Does anyone still see this bug on 2.20 or later?
Same here, I can't reproduce this anymore with 2.22 (and I used to easily reproduce it). Let's close this bug?
No new comments => closing as obsolete as per comment #5.
This one is still here. See the downstream bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-applets/+bug/102921 where I reproduce this with gnome-applets 2.26.0-0ubuntu4 . Could this be reopened please?
This downstream bug is not the same thing at all. The bug discussed here was about the graphs suddenly resetting entirely to blank. The downstream bug is about the measurement being incorrect when the mouse enters and leaves the window. (not sure why this downstream bug has just been reclassified as invalid, because several people say they reproduce it).
Thanks for the heads up Eric. JFI: The downstream bug hasn't been marked invalid - it has a watch on remote bug trackers and it has noticed that the bug here on the GNOME bugzilla is invalid (the bug in Ubuntu has a status of triaged).
