Description Xavier Claessens 2006-07-10 08:16:45 UTC
Hello,

I write a document in any GTK application like gedit. I want to save it on my floppy disk, so I open the "save as" window and I put my floppy in the drive (not mounted yet). When I select my floppy drive in the "save in folder" menu the floppy get mounted, but after that nothing is selected in the menu and nothing is written on it. If I save now the document goes to ~/Documents. So I have to re-select the now mouted floppy drive, like that it saves on the floppy.

Filechooser after mounting the floppy
Comment 2 Xavier Claessens 2006-07-11 18:01:11 UTC
I can reproduce this with GNOME 2.15.4 and GTK 2.10
Comment 3 André Klapper 2009-07-24 17:05:09 UTC
Is this still an issue in gtk 2.16 (if so, please update the version field) or can this be closed as OBSOLETE?
Comment 4 Xavier Claessens 2009-07-26 09:04:11 UTC
Floppy are obsolete, I don't have any computer with such device anymore... So I can't tell if it is fixed.
Comment 5 Timothy Arceri 2014-12-23 12:50:53 UTC
Let have this bug join the floppy drive as obsolete. I don't think there is any value keeping this open any longer.
