Description Ashish Kulkarni 2006-07-09 08:13:00 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When I open an RAR archive which has not been completely downloaded, file-roller is able to show me the file list. However, when I try to open a file within the archive, I get a message that the password is wrong, and need to set it via "Edit -> Password".

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a RAR archive which has not been fully downloaded.
2. Try to open a file in the archive which is incomplete.
3.

Actual results:
A message asking me to set the password is shown.

Expected results:
Either the message needs to be changed to something like "Could not extract this file" with a few possible reasons (file password protected, corrupt archive)

OR

corrupt archives should not be loaded at all

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
The error handling for extracting a file probably does not parse the exact error message thrown, and just reports a common problem for all situations.
