GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 346233
epiphany eats 100% of my CPU waiting for a server to respond
Last modified: 2007-05-31 21:52:17 UTC
If I try to connect epiphany to a server that does not respond immediatly, Epiphany eats 100% of my CPU. Try for example http://svn.kde.org
Not reproducible here. Which gecko version (type "javascript:navigator.userAgent" without the quotes into the url bar). Which OS ?
User-Agent : Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060608 Ubuntu/dapper-security Epiphany/2.14 Firefox/1.5.0.4 OS : Ubuntu dapper (the latest) It is also produced with a fake IP, for example : http://10.128.129.130 Also, i do not have this problem with firefox, it takes time, but it doesn't take my CPU :)
Created attachment 71357 [details] profiling I used sysprof to proficle my system while loading a page qith epiphany ... here is the file (if someone knows how to use it ...) I'll try to understand it.
Is this still reproducible in epiphany 2.18 using firefox 2.0 backend ?
That was long ago and I can't reproduce it anymore
