Description Edward Hervey 2006-06-02 14:22:06 UTC
I'm getting this error with several AAC files.

gstfaad.c(1398): gst_faad_chain (): /pipeline0/decodebin0/faad0: Failed to decode buffer: Unexpected channel configuration change

A file with which I get the error is the following : http://www.wired.com/news/audio/quicktime/high/viralipod_qt_hi.mov
Comment 1 Tim-Philipp Müller 2006-06-09 18:47:03 UTC
I remember this file, and it should have been fixed a while ago by one of the many faad commits (I can't reproduce this here on my system any longer either).

What are the other files that fail?
Comment 2 Michael Smith 2006-06-21 08:38:07 UTC
I can confirm that this works correctly for me with current cvs.
Comment 3 Tim-Philipp Müller 2006-07-17 10:00:55 UTC
Confirmed by Edward on IRC that this is still a problem (on gentoo), reopening.
Comment 4 Tim-Philipp Müller 2009-05-27 00:09:30 UTC
Works fine for me on debian x86+amd64, and I haven't seen this error for ages (but remember it). Closing as OBSOLETE.

Edward: please re-open if it's still a problem (I have the file if you need it).
