Please describe the problem:
The sidebar is always displayed during loading in evince 0.5.3, even though it
is disabled by default, so when the document is loaded the sidebar is removed
and the viewing area has to be resized.

This is just a cosmetic problem, I'm reporting it because it didn't happen with
previous releases. See these screenshots:

Thanks a lot for reporting Giacomo, this problem is now fixed in HEAD.
