Description bugzillagnomeorg2006 2006-05-22 04:31:16 UTC
Please describe the problem:
According to the Gnumeric Manual version 1.4 which was installed with Gnumeric
1.6.3, there's a pre-defined name "Sheet_Title". This is in the manual section
5.12, "The Types of Cell Elements" - > "Examples of Name Usage"

If I define a name "Bob" through the Define Names dialog, enter a cell reference
as the value, and then go to a different cell and enter the formula "=Bob", the
second cell shows the value of the first.

But if I enter "=Sheet_Title" (or "=SheetTitle" or "=sheet_title" or
"=sheettitle") I get a "#NAME?" error.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Enter "=Sheet_Title" as the formula value of any cell.

Actual results:
I observe a "#NAME?" error.

Expected results:
For the value of the cell to equal the name of the current worksheet.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
I'm running this under Windows XP, no service packs, as a virtual machine within
VMWare Player.

Gnumeric is awesome, thank you all for working so hard on it.

By the way, this is my first bug report on any open source project anywhere,
despite having used open source software on and off for the past fifteen years.
 Yes, Gnumeric is that awesome.

fixed in cvs head (should be in 1.7.1 and onwards)

The correct name is Sheet_Title.
