just an idea: It should be possible to close a program by clicking on its tab in the gnome-panel's window list with the third mouse button.

Thats what firefox does with tabs and i like it.

I vote for WONTFIX: it's too easy to make errors with something like this.

It already is possible: right click on the button, then select "Close" from the menu list that pops up.
