Description Paul Best 2006-05-06 05:45:44 UTC
Ogg vorbis playback in gst 0.10 clicks on certain songs when gst-plugins-base has been built with gcc 3.3.6. It does not click when built with gcc 3.4.6. I have not been able to test on other versions of gcc, and I am not sure why this is the case.

This occurs when building gst-plugins-base on a stock slackware 10.2 system.

A known clicking file, and a recording of the clicking is available in this file:

I believe this has already been fixed in gst-plugins-base CVS by this commit:

 2006-04-28  Wim Taymans  <wim@fluendo.com>

        * gst/audioconvert/audioconvert.c: (float):
        correctly clip float samples > 1.0. Fixes #338718

If not, please re-open :)

Ok, that fixes it. Thanks for pointing that patch out.
