Description Sebastien Bacher 2006-04-25 10:59:38 UTC
That bug has been opened on https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/41262

"Places -> Computer shows me cd rom and removable media such as pendrive od sd cards in my card reader.

I can see how what is it's capacity - for example when I put 512 MB SD card I can see that this is 512 MB - but when I right click on this drive and go to properties there is no way to find how much space is free and how much space is occupied.

I think that this information should be available in properties dialog.

Of course I always can go to console and run df or du -hs, I also can go to gnome-system-monitor - but I think that this functionality should be built in natulius."

Yeah, and it should also be available in the computer:/// location that most people have on their desktop.
If nothing else - migrating windows users will expect this, and it is a useful feature.
Not sure about the component though, Sebastien: why is this in the Sidebar?

Actually this bug doesn't just apply to removable drives but any mounted filesystem. And I can affirm that lack of this info is very confusing, not only to windows users but even to me. It just seems obvious that freespace information should be available there.
