GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 339475
Part of page shows up black
Last modified: 2006-05-15 19:40:30 UTC
Evince shows a part of the page all black after I've rotated the view using the edit menu, eg. http://www.mutopiaproject.org/ftp/MozartWA/KV626/dies_irae/dies_irae-a4.pdf. The page is upright, but I want to show it fullscreen in "landscape" mode so that I can read the full page if I rotate my monitor by 90 degrees. This is Evince 0.5. Version 0.4 does not have the problem.
Can't reproduce, Evince 0.5.2, poppler 0.5.1 (splash) What exact version and poppler version are you using?
I'm using Evince 0.5.2 with poppler 0.5.1 (cairo) backend. The document only fails to show correctly after Edit->Rotate; the upright mode is perfectly normal.
Created attachment 64587 [details] Screenshot showing the problem
Evince 0.4.0 with poppler 0.5.0 (cairo) does not have the problem.
Okay, I did another test. The bug is NOT reproducible with these versions, built from the released tarballs: - Evince 0.5.2 - Poppler 0.5.1 (cairo) The bug DOES show up with: - Evince CVS HEAD - Poppler CVS HEAD
The bug DOES show up with: - Evince 0.5.2 (from tarball) - Poppler CVS HEAD. This leads to think this is actually a poppler bug. The other combination (Evince HEAD, poppler 0.5.1 tarball) does not compile, so I couldn't test that one.
Yeah, I can reproduce it with evince and poppler from cvs head.
I filed https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6926 in fdo bugzilla.
Fine.
