GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 339082
Add current version as a new photo
Last modified: 2010-05-25 12:50:44 UTC
Sometimes I would like two different crops of the same picture to appear in the database as two pictures with different tags. E.g. it is possible to get two different pictures by cropping two different persons from the same picture. So it would be great if both versions of the original picture could appear as a real picture.
Perhaps a "Add current version as a new photo" function? I am modifying the title to reflect this. (original title was : Multiple version of the same picture)
Good! This is just the functionality needed, but described in a more clear way. One thing have to be decided: Is the "current version" of the old photo still being kept as a version or is it deleted (moved) when the new picture is created.
Created attachment 101730 [details] [review] add-current-version-as-new-photo.patch anyone wanna try? :-)
I like the idea, and the patch works for me. I would suggest adding the reverse feature too: the ability to merge ("reparent") one image as a version of another.
(In reply to comment #4) > I would suggest adding the reverse feature too: the ability to merge > ("reparent") one image as a version of another. This feature is already available (for testing!) in svn. Compile with -D:ENABLE_REPARENTING
implemented in http://gitorious.org/f-spot/mainline/merge_requests/1096 needs test and push
Reparenting has been merged into master, will be in 0.7.0.
