GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 338344
Support for ocaml
Last modified: 2014-02-15 12:53:14 UTC
Hi there, Eric Cooper provided an ocaml.lang file to support the ocaml language in Debian bug http://bugs.debian.org/343664. I'll attach his file in this report. I've also noticed a boo.lang in the Ubuntu package, do you want me to upload it? Cheers,

I tried downloading a ocaml file and it's mime type is not detected. We have a policy of adding .lang files only if the mime type is part of freedesktop's mime database. Please file a bug on freedesktop bugzilla and add a note here so that we can see when that is solved. Apart from that the .lang file looks sane at a cursory view. For boo.lang, see bug #338332
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7836
Included in freedesktop.org.xml.in.
Part of shared-mime-info 0.19, from ChangeLog: 2006-08-25 Bastien Nocera <hadess@hadess.net> * freedesktop.org.xml.in: Add text/x-ocaml as a mime-type for OCaml files (Closes: #7836)
Since it's now in shared-mime-info and the lang file seems good (I also made sure it validates) I am committing this, just in time for 2.18 :-) Leaving the bug open since it needs to be ported/added to 2.0
