Steps:

* Built gstripchart using gmake.
* Installed gstripchart.
* Invoked gstripchart from the command line.
* gtripchart when invoked from the "Utilities"
  menu from the startup also has the same problem.

The gstripchart program has been superceeded by the stripchart
program.  I am unable to reproduce this problem using the new
stripchart codebase.
