AisleRiot 2.14.0, Ubuntu Dapper

1. From the "View" menu, choose "Cards...".
2. If the current selection is "paris", change it to "bonded".
3. Change the selection to "paris".

What should happen:
* The card pattern switches to "paris" as quickly as it changes to "bonded", i.e. within 0.5 seconds.

What actually happens:
* The card pattern takes about 14 seconds (!) to switch, and during that time AisleRiot is completely unresponsive.

The paris.svg theme will always be slow to load, but changes in the semantics of the how the SVG gdk_pixbuf loader worked appears to have bitten us and in 2.14 the theme gets loaded twice. A fix is currently being tested in CVS HEAD (using a gtk API rather than our home-grown code) and should appear in the next 2.14 release.

This bug is being reassigned to the "general" component so we can close the aisleriot bugzilla component. Apologies for the mass email!
