Forwarded from: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gnome-netstatus/+bug/38355

Hello, netstatu-applet treats the same a wireless card on, but with no signal detected, and off (off means having executed /etc/acpi/wireless.sh)

in my opinion when it's off a cross should appear over the signal level, or over the enteir icon

gnome-netstatus development has been stalled [1]. Maintainers don't have
future development plan so i am closing the bugs as WONTFIX.
