We need to state the GUADEC 2006 dates and location in guadec.org homepage.

My suggestion (and only a suggestion) is to find a solution between the current header and the one that Behnam was working in - http://mail.gnome.org/archives/guadec-list/2006-March/msg00040.html

I would not repeat "GNOME" or "GNOME 7" in the text and I would use "The GNOME Conference" instead.

Vilanova or Vilanova i la Geltrú (there are lots of Vilanova's) needs to appear.

I like the date format including the year, avoiding the "'06" repetition.

If the text is put as graphic it should be commented in the alt or something for search engines indexation and accessibility.

Luis Villa reports:

Just to compare, find the date on:
OLS: http://www.linuxsymposium.org/
LWE: http://www.linuxworldexpo.com/
Akademy: http://conference2005.kde.org/
LCA: http://conf.linux.org.au/ (a little less highlighted, but still
on the front page)
Fosdem: http://www.fosdem.org/

This was initially assigned to John Hwang, the website designer, but whe is disappeared these days (Easter holidays?). Then Behnam took it last week.

If Behnam is not able to implement a fix by Monday/Tuesday I'll upload your image.

Thanks Luis, I know it's embarrassing but as many human team we have our limitations. :/

Is there any way to make it possible to change it from the guadec.org/admin?

Image's alt text needs update too BTW.
Comment 7 Behnam Esfahbod 2006-04-17 02:05:42 UTC
Done. Change the url in the style.css. Undo by change the url back.
