Description Jacek Rakowiecki 2006-03-14 11:11:00 UTC
It stopped working some time ago. I really miss the conveniency and speed of
using the screen edge (upper, in my case).

Requested in https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/33842 as well.
Comment 2 Karel Demeyer 2006-06-03 10:15:04 UTC
I confirm this, it annoys me too.
Comment 3 Ken Harris 2006-08-29 05:32:11 UTC
In 2.14.3 (Ubuntu), it works for me on the top and bottom, but not on the right edge.
Comment 4 Karel Demeyer 2006-08-30 07:19:43 UTC
In my Ubuntu edgy (gnome 2.15.92) setup I still have NO succes with this. The applet is on the bottom right here but still has a border that is part of the applet (rightclicking it gives the applet's context menu), both on the bottom and on the right.
Comment 5 Vincent Untz 2007-02-17 16:44:06 UTC
I can't reproduce here. Does it still happen with 2.17.91? Also, does it happen with all themes?

This happens with all my themes (Human, clearlook (Gnome's Default, no ?) ... on 2.16.1. I'll try it on 2.18 once Ubuntu Feisty Fawn is out.
Comment 8 Vincent Untz 2007-05-16 22:57:50 UTC
I can see the bug now.
Comment 9 André Klapper 2020-11-06 20:26:04 UTC
bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you can still reproduce this issue in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-panel/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
