Description David Kiliani 2006-03-14 00:04:53 UTC
Could you please add inband DTMF signal support to ekiga, I have several devices that don't support the rfc2833 signals.
Comment 1 Snark 2006-03-14 06:26:30 UTC
Eh... I was pretty sure we already had a bug report about it, but couldn't lay my hand on it.

Inband DTMF doesn't make sense nowadays and it only works A-Law and u-Law.
I have added SIP INFO DTMFs support instead. It should be widely available.
Comment 5 David Kiliani 2006-06-14 20:47:49 UTC
It does make sense, if you have devices on the other side which support only inband (e.g. FritzBox routers, other telephone systems).

Actually it shouldn't be too complicated, I guess much of the code could be used from standalone DTMF generators, e.g. http://caesar.sourceforge.net/
Comment 6 Damien Sandras 2006-06-14 20:58:39 UTC
OK, then marking as WONTFIX.

If you really want DTMF INBAND support, you can post a bug on the opal bugtracker on http://openh323.sf.net, but it won't be fixed on my side.
