Description Zafar S. 2006-03-08 21:06:50 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Gaim 2.0 which is in beta now uses a slightly different naming structure that
incorporates time zones. Beagle-Imlogviewer shows these logs on the side bar and
when you click then it correctly tells you the date and the time in AM or PM,
but the actual log doesn't load, so you can't view it. Also, the new logs are
not indexed.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Use Gaim 2.0 beta/cvs
2. Try searching those logs using beagle-imlogviewer

Actual results:

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?
Always happens

Other information:
The old logs were named something like
2006-02-07.184050.html
while the new ones are
2006-02-07.191832-0500EST.html

What version of beagle are you using? The should be fixed in CVS.
Comment 2 Zafar S. 2006-03-12 23:30:50 UTC
I'm using beagle-0.2.2.1 right now. I'll try out CVS.
Comment 3 Zafar S. 2006-03-14 01:18:56 UTC
I upgraded to CVS with cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@anoncvs.gnome.org:/cvs/gnome co -P beagle and then installed it. With just that, the logs' contents still would not show up in beagle-imlogviewer. I removed the Gaim index and had beagle remake the index. While this happened it showed the newer logs being indexed.

After the Gaim index was rebuilt, I attempted to search for a term (tested and worked with Gaims own log manager) but nothing with the new logging stucture would come up in the results. With beagle-imlogviewer, the same behavior of showing the logs on the left but with no content in the right pane occurred.
Comment 4 Zafar S. 2006-03-17 22:05:49 UTC
The new logs are not indexed and the log content is not shown in beagle 0.2.3 as well.
Comment 5 Kevin Kubasik 2006-03-17 22:13:15 UTC
I would like to confirm this, the only logs of mine that are searchable are those from before my upgrade to gaim 2.x

Just contributing. If anyone needs some sample conversations in the new log format, I would be glad to provide them.

The account I'm using in gaim is zafar9999 and the recipient is smarterchild.
