Description Stefan Sauer (gstreamer, gtkdoc dev) 2006-03-05 09:59:49 UTC
in gimp 2.2.10 there is a print menu-item below quit inside the file-menu of an image. Please move this somewhere inbetween save and quit.
Comment 1 Sven Neumann 2006-03-06 15:15:49 UTC
What print menu item is this? I suspect that it is a third-party plug-in that is registering its menu item incorrectly.
Comment 2 Stefan Sauer (gstreamer, gtkdoc dev) 2006-03-06 15:38:30 UTC
I have no extra plugins installed (how can I verify this). The 'File' menu looks like this for me :
New
Open ...
Open as Layer ...
Open Location ...
Open Recent
---
Save
Save As ...
Save a Copy ...
Save as Template ...
Revert
---
Mail Image
---
Close
Quit
Print ...

The print plug-in that is part of the GIMP source tree definitely registers itself in the Send placeholder which is next to Mail Image. You are obviously using a third-party print plug-in, most probably the one from the Gutenprint package. Please report the problem to the author of that plug-in. Closing as NOTGNOME.

print plugin version

it does not look like a third party plugin to me
Comment 5 Michael Schumacher 2006-03-06 18:23:55 UTC
The screenshot proves that this is the third-party print plug-in that comes with gutenprint.
Comment 6 Sven Neumann 2006-03-07 07:31:19 UTC
Please file a bug-report at the gutenprint bug-tracker asking them to change their plug-in to register itself into "<Image>/File/Send".
