Description Christian Persch 2006-03-03 19:05:55 UTC
When you reassing a bug in product P1 component C1 to product P2, and a component with the same name as C1 does exist in P2, it is assigned to that component; if the C1 doesn't exist in P2, bugzilla asks for the component. IOW, there's no way to reassign both component and product in one step in this case.

Correct. Pretty annoying with all the general components we have. There is also an upstream bug about this. Need to fix this as this annoyes me as well.
Comment 2 Elijah Newren 2006-04-11 21:34:34 UTC
Modifying the priority & severity as this pisses me off too.

Patch that fixes this bug

Here's the patch I'll commit in a minute which fixes this bug. I'm attaching it because it uses a hack and Olav might know of a better fix, and putting it in this bug will probably make that easier for him.

Ehr.. patch seems to do (hidden field in form) what I'd probably do.
