GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 332998
SJ should monitor both cd/dvd drives instead of offering preference
Last modified: 2021-05-17 15:56:02 UTC
Please describe the problem: Currently, if you have multiple cd/dvd drives, SJ offers the option to select one for ripping. instead, SJ should just see both drives, and only pop up a question if two (or more) cd's are in the drives at the same time. Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
What would SJ do if there was an audio CD in both drives?
Offer a dialogue: do you want to rip CD X or CD Y

+1 I have gnome installed at my parents computer and since they asked me how to rip CDs I showed them Sound Juicer. They have 2 drives and since the wrong drive was selected in the prefs nothing showed up and they simply thought the program isn't working. So: choose the one with the audio CD in it and popup a dialog to choose or show a combobox with all audio CDs on top if number > 1.
