GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 332745
Changing Startup Programs in gnome-session-properties is never saved
Last modified: 2007-01-07 01:29:16 UTC
Please describe the problem: I have tried changing the "Startup Programs" in gnome-session-properties dialog box and it is saved, but on logout, changes are lost. I've switched to "Current Session" and hit apply and still nothing. I found the file .../.gnome2/session-manual, it has the changes, but if I logout and log back in, they are lost. Steps to reproduce: 1. run gnome-session-properties and go to the "Startup Programs" tab 2. add /usr/bin/ssh-add with order 70 and hit OK 3. Close and logout Actual results: When I log back in and look at the file, or run gnome-session-properties again the re is no record of my changes Expected results: I would expect ssh-add to be run when I log in. Does this happen every time? Yes Other information: Nope.
*** Bug 332758 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Unfortunately, we don't support this version of GNOME anymore, and the way we handle startup programs is not the same anymore (we're following the freedesktop spec now). Closing the bug as OBSOLETE.
