Description Loïc Minier 2006-02-09 15:05:07 UTC
Hi,

Tom Parker explained in Debian bug http://bugs.debian.org/352056 the following way of having an inconsistency between the displayed playing state and the actual playing state:

"Sequence of events:
0) Start rhythmbox with 'repeat' and 'shuffle' switched on
1) Enter some terms into search box that you know will find a song
2) Double click on a song to play it
3) Hit 'play' button to pause song
4) Hit 'previous' button to go back to not playing
5) Clear search field
6) Hit 'play' again to play song.
"

I confirm this behavior with 0.9.3.1.

Cheers,

I'm not completely sure what this means, but I don't think I can reproduce it with CVS HEAD. The fix for #329993 probably fixed it.

Jonathan, I reproduce with today's CVS. I followed the exact instructions of the reporter, and after step 6, I hear sound from a song playing but the slidder isn't enabled, and the title of the song doesn't appear.

This has been fixed by several other play-order related fixes, and following the steps provided works correctly.
