Description Randy McMurchy 2006-02-08 02:20:09 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #161404 +++

I built Gnumeric with a prefix of /usr and then ran the program and
tried to pull up the internal help. I received an error message that
the path to the docs was wrong. Turns out it looks for the docs in

/usr/share/gnumeric/1.6.2/doc/C

but the files are actually installed in

/usr/share/gnome/help/gnumeric/C

I created a symlink with the following commands:

install -v -m755 -d /usr/share/gnumeric/1.6.2/doc
ln -v -s /usr/share/gnome/help/gnumeric/C /usr/share/gnumeric/1.6.2/doc

and everything is fine. This bug was reported before, fixed, and has
now crept back into the installation. Let me know if there is any
more information I can provide.

This is a known bug in the 1.6.x series that has been patched in 1.7.x.
