Description André Klapper 2006-02-03 09:17:52 UTC
if i use the menu item "Appointment", i get an editor named "Appointment".
if i use the menu item "Task", i get an editor named "Task".
if i use the menu item "Memo", i get an editor named "Journal entry". Huh?

also, the memo editor uses the appointment icon, but not the correct memo item as it's in front of the menu item.

don't confuse the user, be consistent.
Comment 1 André Klapper 2006-02-12 22:25:47 UTC
okay, there are quite a few strings containing the word "journal entry". then why the heck did we call all the menu items "memo"?!
Comment 2 André Klapper 2006-07-17 12:27:26 UTC
some dialogs talk about a "journal entry", some about a "memo" - so, what the hell is the difference? srini?
Comment 3 Karsten Bräckelmann 2006-07-17 12:32:55 UTC

for evolution;

As we discuss with Srini on IRC, I renamed 'Journal' to 'Memo'. There is only one place where I didn't do this, in help/C/evolution.xml, there is a paragraph: "In Evolution, the Memos component lets you create, edit, and store journal entries without dates, using the filesystem as a backend." which I kept as is.
Comment 5 André Klapper 2007-07-10 13:54:32 UTC
nice - does it also fix the icon issue?
Comment 6 Milan Crha 2007-07-10 14:17:11 UTC
oh, I missed it, I'm sorry...
