GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 328745
glib-java-0.2.2/macros/am_path_gcj.m4 has hardwired <<gcj>>
Last modified: 2008-02-13 01:51:24 UTC
Please describe the problem: The file glib-java-0.2.2/macros/am_path_gcj.m4 runs <<gcj>> directly; it should use $(GCJ). Steps to reproduce: 1. try configuring with GCJ, JAVAC, et.al. all set to something other than the installed compiler 2. 3. Actual results: Wrong compiler gets used, or if wrong compiler isn't installed, configure fails. Expected results: Configure using the specified compiler. Does this happen every time? Yes (assuming you've not got the system compiler installed). Other information:

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. However, you are using a version that is too old and not supported anymore. GNOME developers are no longer working on that version, so unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes for the version that you use. By upgrading to a newer version of GNOME you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of GNOME. Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer version of GNOME.
