evince-0.5.0-1
Using poppler 0.5.0 (splash)

1. open file1.pdf
2. replace file1.pdf with file2.pdf
3. press ^o, select file1.pdf , press "open"
4. nothing happened

Opening file already opened in this window should reload it

Not sure we should fix it, we do present and raise document window, but we probably don't want to reload document as nautilus does. It would be nice to see similar nautilus bug in that case and probably discussion of usability people.

I agree that the expected behavior is that the file should be reloaded. When would I ever try to reopen the file, and desire that the file should not be refreshed?

For what it's worth, EOG reloads the image if you do this.  This makes sense to me - when you open the file, you want to see what's in it right now, not what used to be in it.

Sorry, my mistake - EOG opens a new view every time you open, even if it's the same image.
