GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 326652
Selecting Users From Address Sources Causes Crash
Last modified: 2013-09-13 00:58:27 UTC
Please describe the problem: If you select New-->Meeting and then click on the button [Attendees], change source to "Frequent Contacts" and do a search. When you double-click on someone from the list, it immediately crashes. Novell Address Book however works fine, this one happens with Frequent Contacts. Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
Changing title...looks like it IS now Novell Address Book as well. This was working fine in previous builds. It crashes when you double-click on someone that has appeared on the left side in your search.

This is not specific to gw, happens with any address-book. Remove the gw keyword in the subject. Sorry for the spam

partha, is this really the same issue? Same list?
hmm. double-clicking, okay, but the stacktraces are rather... different. :-/
Yeah. This always happens, and the bug description matches. And this is a confirmed issue. although the traces are not similar. But i really am sure its the same bug. The data is being unreffer some place ealier than it should be. It was those "mem-leak" fixes that went in. Am wading thru all those changes to find out.

Yet another report, Evo 2.4.x. Setting Target Milestone to 2.4.3, this must be resolved immediately.
partha: Regarding unreffed data, note that it still works when selecting the Contacts by a single click and using the "Add" buttons.

Yeah. This looks fine. Works fine too. Ok to commit to head (and branch if necessary, i have not checked if it crashes in 2.4.x too). Commit with a changelog.
