GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 326240
autocompletion lists from the location bar "drops" up
Last modified: 2006-01-11 14:17:06 UTC
This bug has been opened on http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=14406 "http://prometoys.net/images/epiphany-auto.png Since i update my system to breezy i have this problem: i type a few letter in the location bar. sometimes the list didnt drop down. it jumps up and i couldnt see proposals for completion. i tested a little bit. I have a lot of "searches" (this special bookmarks with %s). The list expand down and reach the bottom of the screen and thinks, it isnt enouph space (which is correct) and switch the list to expand up (which is complete senseless). maybe the scrollbar with the URL-proposals should be more flexible and the complete list shouldnt be longer then 15 lines (searches and visible URL-proposals) ... > Thanks for your bug. GTK is doing this completion. What is wrong with opening up? It has a scrollbar too, no? ... i couldn't read the list when it's opening up. when you have a look at the screenshot, the 4 entries (Wictionary...Wortschatz) are defined searches in epiphany. normally they are beyond the url list (with the scrollbar). i couldnt describe it better with my english. the bug isnt very urgent, because it is also my fault. i have defined too much searches. i will try to find somebody, to describe the problem better."
On dapper the completion list goes to right direction but has no scrollbar. A simple GtkEntryCompletion example has them ...
