GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 324987
[0.8] Internal GStreamer error: pad problem. File a bug.
Last modified: 2006-10-02 10:34:53 UTC
When playing the Madagascar DVD using Totem, this dialog pops up on the language-selection screen, and playback stops. Pressing 'p' twice (for pause&play) makes the error appear again. Other keys (e.g. menu selection) won't work. See attached screenshot. gstreamer version is 0.8.11-1ubuntu2, totem version is 1.3.0-0ubuntu2.
In a terminal, this warning is shown: (totem:16706): GStreamer-WARNING **: pads don't accept old caps. We assume they did though Attached screenshot is made with video output set to XWindows. XV output shows a slightly different image, as it contains the three languages I am supposed to choose from (English, Dutch and Flemish).

moving to gst-plugins. The core message is 0.8 although it is both unlikely that this is a 0.8 core bug but more a plugins bug.
marking 0.8. Cannot ask to retest in 0.10 since we don't have enough DVD support yet.
(Mass-closing of GStreamer-0.8 bugs. Please re-test with GStreamer-0.10 and file a new bug if this issue still exists, thanks!) Thanks for the bug report. However, the version you are using is no longer maintained. Please upgrade to the most recent version, and open a new bug if the problem persists.
