Description Matthias Clasen 2005-11-22 18:29:54 UTC
...we may use gThumb as the default image viewer in FC5, and default apps should
not have the brand name in the menu. Having a generic name in the .desktop file
will make that much easier, since we can just use desktop-file-install to copy
the generic name.

We had also considered to propose changing the name from "Image Viewer" to
"Image Organizer" (following the logic that simple viewers should not be in the
menus, but just activate on click in nautilus, and gThumb is not a simple
viewer), but I am not so sure any more about this. Maybe "Image Viewer" is fine,
after all.
