------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@gnome.bugs 2005-11-21 22:58 UTC ------- Unknown version 1.9.2 in product epiphany. Setting version to "1.9.x".
Thanks for the bug report! Can you please edit the GConf key "/apps/epiphany/general/active_extensions" with gconf-editor, remove the "error-viewer" entry from it, and see if that the crash still happens when starting epiphany afterwards?
Hi, I got the same bug when starting gnome and restoring a session with epiphany. Disabling the error-viewer indeed did remove the crash. Here is the backtrace before I removed the extension. (I use Dapper too and Epiphany 1.9.5.1 on Gnome 2.13.5 Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/epiphany' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1". The trace lacks symbols from epiphany-extensions... can you get a trace with those? https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash
Ok, this time a trace with epiphany-extensions and debug symbols. Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/epiphany' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1". Thanks for the bug report, and the excellent stacktrace, I have fixed this problem in CVS.
