Description Dave Malcolm 2005-11-16 21:29:36 UTC
Currently sniff requires you to manually drill down to find your accessible nodes.

It would be great to be able to automate this somehow. Various approaches to
this, all of which would be nice; I'm filing these as separate bugs:

Visual picker tool. Implement a "Choose a UI node" menu/toolbar item which when
clicked changes the mousepointer to a crosshairs. You would then click on
something on the desktop. Sniff would then update its selection to be the
deepest possible node for that UI element (and expands the treeview where
necessary and scrolls to put the selection in view if it isn't)

dogtail development has been stalled and it has been unmaintained for a few
years now.
Maintainers don't have future development plan so i am closing bugs as WONTFIX.
Please feel free to reopen the bugs in future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development.
