Description Dave Malcolm 2005-11-16 21:24:18 UTC
Currently sniff requires you to manually drill down to find your accessible nodes.

It would be great to be able to automate this somehow. Various approaches to
this, all of which would be nice; I'm filing these as separate bugs:

Implement a search toolbar. Some visual mockup:

basic view:
[Search for Button [\/] ] [named [\/]] [ (text entry field) ] [Search]

With one combo expanded:
[Search for Button [\/] ] [named [\/]] [ (text entry field) ] [Search]
Search for Button
Search for Menu
Search for Menu Item
+--------------------------+

With the other combo expanded:
[Search for Button [\/] ] [named [\/]] [ (text entry field) ] [Search]
named
labelled
                             +----------+

etc, the combo values aren't exhaustive.

dogtail development has been stalled and it has been unmaintained for a few
years now.
Maintainers don't have future development plan so i am closing bugs as WONTFIX.
Please feel free to reopen the bugs in future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development.
