Description Mikel Ward 2005-10-30 03:52:34 UTC
To delete a single item in the calendar, I have to right click on it, select
delete, then press left and Enter (or move the mouse to the left and click Delete).

Since I already asked to delete it, I would like to see the default action
confirm my request so I can just press Enter.

then the entire dialog would be pretty useless, in my opinion.
Comment 2 Mikel Ward 2005-10-30 12:58:55 UTC
For me the purpose of a dialog is to ensure the user wants to do something in
case they accidentally clicked on a destructive item, but also requiring the
user to click Delete or press Enter is sufficient to confirm this. The dialog
need not get in the way of a user trying to do something. It's already annoying
enough now when you're trying to delete several items.

I can't find anything in the guidelines that say you should have confirm as the
default, but neither is there anything saying you should have deny.

It also sucks that I can't click on an item once then press Delete on the
keyboard, since it starts editing the appointment summary when only clicking
once, rather unlike any other program. Actually, the Evolution TODO list is
like this as well. :-(

Correct spelling error in summary so other people can find it.

Sorry for the spam.
Comment 4 Poornima 2005-11-08 09:53:56 UTC
Confirming the bug, in delete confirmation dialog 'Delete' should be selected by
default.
