Description Michael Meeks 2005-10-28 11:26:01 UTC
This may relate to bug #320070#, the conflicting appointment is completely
un-editable when I open it.
The calendar that contains it is on the local machine, and AFAICS there is
nothing special about it - so; why can't I edit it ?
Of course - it recurrs but then - so do a lot of meetings ... screenshots &
calendar files on demand.
Comment 1 André Klapper 2005-10-30 12:58:50 UTC
any chance to attach it here (and destroy confidiential data before)?

ical appointment: uneditable for me

I hacked the relevant appointment out of my local calendar - hope it's ok.
Interesting to see quite so many X-MICROSOFT tags in there :-)
Comment 3 Chenthill P 2005-12-01 18:35:31 UTC
Its because an attendee cannot modify a meeting. Only the organizer can edit it.
Perhaps an attendee can set alarms, set the busy status etc.
Comment 4 Michael Meeks 2005-12-02 13:15:05 UTC
There is no way for the user to know this - and it patently isn't obvious. We
need some UI change here to make it clear *why* the appointment appears
completely un-editable :-)
Comment 5 André Klapper 2005-12-31 21:07:47 UTC
this would require string changes, therefore adding keyword

for evolution;

New strings, blah. Feel free to suggest better sentences. Please note also possible leak fix.

I wonder why such common things are not superclassed in some parent of the page "class", thus there would be minimized code duplication.
Comment 8 Chenthill P 2009-08-03 14:55:55 UTC
patch looks good to commit. Please announce the string changes.

There are some bits similar to the same that needs cleanup there. We can take that up later.
