Description Lauri Peltonen 2005-10-15 20:19:17 UTC
Version details: 0.6.3-ubuntu3
Distribution/Version: Ubuntu 5.10

When using the Save Playlist -item, and giving it name like "musiccd" and
pressing save, the program pops up a dialog saying like "Unsupported file format
[by extension]", and after that the program most likely jams or starts behaving
strangely (at least the Save Playlist -item no longer works). With the "Browse
for other folders" in the Save dialog I can see it should support xml, m3u and
pls -playlists, but giving filename like "musiccd.m3u" or "musiccd.xml" causes
the same error. I could not get it to save the playlist what ever I tried.

Could you please run serpentine from the command line and paste the traceback here?
Comment 2 Lauri Peltonen 2005-10-15 21:46:11 UTC
Here is the traceback, it comes when pressing close in the "Unsupported format"
-dialog. Seems like it can save .m3u and .pls playlists fine, but crashes only
if trying some other format first (or without extension).

Traceback (most recent call last):
  • File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/serpentine/mainwindow.py", line 200 in run_dialog
    oper.listeners.append (self)
UnboundLocalError: local variable 'oper' referenced before assignment

Thank you. I've fixed the bug (in SVN), now a dialog appears as it should. Thanks.
