Description Daniel Holbach 2005-10-10 06:52:19 UTC
Version details: 1.5.90
Distribution/Version: Ubuntu Breezy

Forwarded from: http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=17431

If I open a CSV file with gnumeric using nautilus, gnumeric aborts with an
error: "Unsupported file format". The same problem occurs if I use gnumeric's
File => Open dialog and keep the File Type set to "Automatically detected". If
I use gnumeric's File => Open dialog and manually change the File Type to
CSV/TSV, the file opens fine.

This only happens on some files - after a bit more testing, it only seems to
happen on files with a long first line (80 chars or more). Will attach a sample
CSV file.

(Sample CSV file that gnumeric fails to open - first line is 80 chars long)

I confirm this with version 1.5.90 on de_DE.UTF-8.
