GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 317643
Click on date in clock applet opens always a new Evolution window
Last modified: 2020-11-06 20:26:18 UTC
This bug has been opened here: https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16057 "[Breezy - updates: 2005-09-20] Everytime you click on a date in the clock applet, there will be openend another Evolution window. There always should be only one Evolution window open. Steps to reproduce: 1. Click on the clock applet. 2. Double click on a date this month -> Evolution window opens 3. Repeat steps 1. and 2. as often you like and you get the number of new Evolution windows. How it should be: A click on - for example tomorrows date - should bring up an Evolution window if there is NO open Evolution window already. If there is already an open window, Evolution should switch to the calendar view with the clicked date, so that there is always only ONE Evolution window open."

It's more usable to have a brand new window for each double-clicked date. I vote for closing this bug.
Why don't you close this?
Because it hasn't been decided that it's the right behavior.
