Description pavel 2005-09-28 19:09:55 UTC
7zip archives should get an own icon and also be registered with the mime-type,
so the file-roller options show up in the context menu.

Thanks for your bug report!

I've filed a bug against the software component providing our MIME descriptions [1].

Jimmac: Maybe you could create an icon for application/x-7z-compressed? If you
don't have the time for that, feel free to mark this bug report NOTGNOME.

Comment 2 Jakub Steiner 2005-09-30 14:08:14 UTC
Not unlike the discussion happening at bug #317102, this again screams for
generic icon fallback. Have a generic archive icon and register the new 7zip
mimetype for it. And IF somebody feels like doing something specific for 7zip,
optionally do that.

There's a generic icon in git - gnome-package, if you want to symlink to that in
the meantime.
Comment 3 Rodney Dawes 2006-01-17 02:39:45 UTC
All package archive formats now use the generic package icon in CVS.
