GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 316990
Gthumb doesn't really import pictures from the camera
Last modified: 2006-10-19 20:24:16 UTC
Please describe the problem: Forwarded from: http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=9083 When I plug in my camera, which works in USB Mass Storage, a window prompt me if I want to import my pictures. But answering "I want to import" only opens gthumb on the camera's directory. Pictures are not trully imported from the cam. In the File menu, there's the option "Import from camera" but it only works with cameras that aren't working in USB Mass Storage. It would be great that when it prompts me if I want to import pictures, when I plug in the cam, it asks where I want to import it, and really import it. Steps to reproduce: Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:

New comment: "With a Canon PowerShot A610, gthumb can view the thumb images, and it can not save the images to the hard disk. But I can download the images with gphoto2 command: gphoto2 -p '1-2'"
