GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 316914
Missing HAL volumes translations
Last modified: 2005-09-22 10:52:39 UTC
Please describe the problem: Some volume names provided by HAL/libhal are not translated to final users. This seems to me related to a typo in POTFILES.in, preventing those messages (37) to be available il PO files. Steps to reproduce: 1. Select a locale different from C (i.e. it_IT) and start GNOME 2. Open computer:// location 3. See that "Floppy Drive" and "CD Drive" are English, not Italian word Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Yes :-) Other information: The current POTFILES.in is # List of source files containing translatable strings. # Please keep this file sorted alphabetically. daemon/gnome-vfs-daemon.c libgnomevfs/gnome-vfs-cdrom.c libgnomevfs/gnome-vfs-configuration.c libgnomevfs/gnome-vfs-file-info.c libgnomevfs/gnome-vfs-filesystem-type.c [encoding: UTF-8]libgnomevfs/gnome-vfs-hal-mounts.c libgnomevfs/gnome-vfs-init.c It should be (al least I suppose: my intltool simply ignore gnome-vfs-hal-mounts.c) # List of source files containing translatable strings. # Please keep this file sorted alphabetically. [encoding: UTF-8] daemon/gnome-vfs-daemon.c libgnomevfs/gnome-vfs-cdrom.c libgnomevfs/gnome-vfs-configuration.c libgnomevfs/gnome-vfs-file-info.c libgnomevfs/gnome-vfs-filesystem-type.c libgnomevfs/gnome-vfs-hal-mounts.c libgnomevfs/gnome-vfs-init.c (the UTF-8 encoding is needed by the plus_minus sign in DVD+-R[W])
Ok, fixed in CVS HEAD. Thanks for catching this :)
