Why the comma needs to be removed? It's anyway handled by the mailer.

that seems to be confusing for some user, any reason to not change that cosmetic
detail?

I think it's hard to fix this with the current name selector
design. Autocomplettion addes comma after each auto-completed entry,
that was done for the ease of use.
For fixing this, some in way we need to find/assume, user has 
entered the last entry and delete the added comma.

Deleteing the whole entry (not just a charcter) on pressing 
backspace was also added for making the deletion easy.
