if I have opened a chat window with a contact and click in the roster to another
contact, which opens in the existing chat window in a new tab, the new tab
didn't get focus. the focus is still on the main window (roster) and if i try to
write a message, the new tye ahead search appears...

the new tab should get focus

Other information:
i use ubuntu breezy preview and i recognize this problem with gnome 2.12

Yea I have seen this too.  I have a quick and easy fix, it will be in soon.
