GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 316320
additional address books are all act as the same address book
Last modified: 2005-09-16 09:31:46 UTC
Distribution/Version: Ubuntu Breezy Repro Steps: 1. Create two additional contact lists (so you will have "Personal" and then two more) 2. Add a contact to one of the two new lists 3. Browse to the other of the two new lists Results: The contact is displayed in both new lists Expected: It should only appear in the list you added it to Other notes: If you delete one of the new lists, then try to delete the other, you are told that the list can not be deleted.
contact lists are lists of contacts. you can create them by using "new | contact list". what you are talking about is called "address book". :-)
Adding contact to one address book will not add the same contact to all other local address book. your problem looks similar to http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=316072, Non English Evolution on Ubuntu Breezy. Can you look at your address book GCONF keys for all your address books and see the values?
Ahh, yes, that is it. The URI was not filled in. The given workaround worked for me. Sorry for the duplicate
