GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 315461
Evince with cairo backend doesn't draw some lines
Last modified: 2006-01-19 18:15:04 UTC
Please describe the problem: As is shown in bug #140830 in the Gentoo bugzilla (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104830), Evince with the cairo backend in poppler doesn't show some lines. There is an example PDF there that indicates the problem. Gpdf or evince without the cairo backend show the lines fine. Steps to reproduce: 1. Build evince 0.4.0 with poppler 0.4.1 or 0.4.2 with the cairo backend 2. Open this pdf: http://bugs.gentoo.org/attachment.cgi?id=67648 3. Compare lines in diagrams with same PDF in gpdf/evince w/o cairo Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
I have the same problem, with a PDF generated by Openoffice 1.1.4.
Can you attach screenshots of the problem please?
Created attachment 52396 [details] Screenshot - evince 0.4.0/poppler 0.4.2 (cairo) and acrobat reader 7.0.3 of course
Created attachment 52397 [details] Original Openoffice Writer file
Created attachment 52398 [details] PDF generated with Openoffice 1.1.5 (same problem with OO 1.1.4)
note that this doesn't happen if i export the document as postscript hope that helps
Thanks everyone, this problem was discussed in another bug and it has link to actual poppler problem with patch. Can someone try that patch from poppler bug 5545 and reopen this if problem still stays. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 324049 ***
The patch in 5545 worked fine for me. I've applied it to the gentoo package.
